For our Wednesday preschool group we headed out to the Fire Station. I actually had made a similar trip with the older three about 6 years ago. I am glad the younger two were able to have the experience as well. It also wasn't a bad idea for me to have another refreshing reminder on fire safety.
Alex and Elisa loved their first experience with the Fire Station. They beg and cry to go back at any reminder of the Fire Station. I don't remember the older three getting obsessed over the whole Fire Station experience.
It didn't take the three Dude's long before they found the recliners.
Amazingly, all of our preschoolers and siblings did a great job sitting and listening to the Fire Station movie and safety rules.
What a Fireman looks like all dressed up

One of Alex's new things lately is Fire Alarms. He has already managed to test out Best Buy's alarm, but has come close to pulling several other alarms. As you can see he is pushing his luck here at the Fire Station right in front of the Fire Station Squad.

In the middle of our tour, the Fire Station had an emergency call. The fire station squad told us they should be back soon if we wanted to wait for them. The kids were excited at that point and none of us wanted to disappoint them. So, we decided to stay and let the kids hang out in my van, untill the Fire Station Squad returned.

It was one of those few cold days we have in Florida so we piled all of the preschoolers an siblings in my van while we waited for the Fire Station Squad to return back from there emergency call. The kids had snacks, watched DVD player (Star Wars) and not to mention each other to scream and play with.

After their return they left the Fire Truck parked out in front of the station and let each the children take a turn spraying the Fire Truck hose. What fun they all had.

Alex was so excited and loved having a turn spraying water with the Fire Truck Hose. I think he is walking a few inches taller.

Elisa tries to keep up with everything her brothers and sisters do and seizes her opportunity.

Thank you Fire Station 85 for being willing and patient to teach our little preschool group how to be safe.

Thanks Alex for not actually pulling the Fire Alarm lever today!

Thanks Elisa for behaving yourself and trying your best!
